Staff

Camp Setebaid staff is selected using the highest standards in the industry. The staff receives extensive training in both child development and diabetes care. Staff works in teams to better serve the campers needs. Each area has counseling staff, dietary staff, and medical staff working together to assist campers. Many of the staff have been a part of the Camp Setebaid for over five years, and new staff is paired with veterans to assure the best care possible.

Our staff serves as role models for campers, demonstrating that it is possible to grow up with diabetes, succeed in high school, college, or at a job despite the challenge of diabetes.

Part of our quality is made possible by an unusually high staff-to-camper ratio. We have nearly as many staff members at camp as campers. Each counselor is responsible for only 3 to 5 campers. No campers are ever apart from staff supervision.
